Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
1. How can I submit an anime review or editorial pitch?
We love hearing from fellow fans! If you have a deep analysis, comparison, or character study that you think fits the Otaku Realm vibe, we want to see it. To pitch a piece, select "Anime Request" or "Feedback" in the subject line and send us a brief outline of your concept, including the main thesis and the specific series you intend to cover.
Please note that we maintain high editorial standards. All submissions must be completely original, written by a human (we reject automated copy), and offer a unique, detailed perspective. We prefer articles that are at least 800 words long and focus on narrative depth, visual styling, or animation mechanics rather than simple episode recaps.
2. I found a database error or filler list mistake. How do I report it?
While we do our absolute best to cross-reference release schedules and official broadcast guides, mistakes can occasionally happen. If you notice a typo, an incorrect air date, a broken link, or a mislabeled filler episode in our watch orders, please let us know immediately!
Use this contact form, select "Correction" as the subject, and provide the exact link to the page along with the correct details. If possible, include a reference link to an official source (like the anime's production website or database registry) so our team can verify and push the correction live.
3. How does the Watchlist system work, and is my data secure?
Otaku Realm provides a seamless, custom watchlist tracking system. If you are browsing the site as a guest, your watchlist is cached locally in your web browser's storage (LocalStorage). This means it will persist as long as you don't clear your browser data.
If you want a more permanent, cross-device solution, you can create a free account. Once logged in, your watchlist is securely synchronized to our cloud database (powered by Firebase). We encrypt and protect your account details, using them solely to manage your list and comments. We never sell your personal data or share your email with third-party advertisers.
4. Are you open to advertising, partnerships, or sponsored content?
Yes, we are open to partnerships that align with our brand and offer value to our community. If you represent an official streaming service, manga publisher, figure manufacturer, or local anime convention, we would love to discuss collaboration opportunities. This includes banner placements, dedicated article sponsorships, and product reviews.
However, we have a strict policy against scam sites, unlicensed merchandise, and intrusive popup advertising. We value our readers' user experience and site performance above all else. If you have an inquiry, select "Feedback" and provide a detailed outline of your brand and proposal.
5. Why does the site use a high-contrast manga style?
We wanted Otaku Realm to stand out in a sea of generic, corporate-looking blogs. Our visual design is inspired by traditional Japanese print manga layouts (known as brutalism in web design). We use thick black borders, bold typography, screen-tone dot patterns, and off-white backgrounds to mimic the tactile feel of reading a physical manga magazine.
This layout also supports a dark-mode toggle (Night Mode) that preserves the aesthetic while making it much easier to read essays in low-light environments. We are always refining our CSS variables to make the visual hierarchy clean and highly legible on all mobile and desktop devices.
6. How do you select which series receive character dives or comparisons?
Our editorial calendar is guided by a mix of seasonal popularity, community requests, and historical significance. When a major new series airs (like Chainsaw Man or Dandadan), we look for angles that haven't been discussed to death, such as comparing the anime's film-like realism to the manga's punk aesthetic.
We also love exploring older, classic titles that have left a permanent mark on the industry. If you have a specific series, character, or director that you want us to cover, please send your request through our form! We read every single request and add the most compelling topics to our writing queue.
7. Are your articles and reviews spoiler-free?
We know how frustrating it is to have a major plot twist ruined. In general, our character dives and comparisons will contain spoilers because it is impossible to analyze themes like cyclical violence or sacrifice without discussing major plot points. However, we always place clear warning labels at the top of these articles. For seasonal reviews and recommendations, we keep the main content spoiler-free so you can read them safely before picking up the series.
8. How do I report a display bug or technical issue?
Our website is designed to be lightweight and fast, but display bugs can occasionally occur depending on your device or browser version. If you notice overlapping text, misaligned borders, or a broken toggle in Night Mode, please let us know! Select "Feedback" in the contact form, describe your device and browser (e.g., iPhone 15 using Safari), and explain the issue. Our tech team will investigate and release a fix as soon as possible.
